Jazz Gallery
It was raining so heavy on Saturday afternoon, we were waiting for our friend, Mint, who was on the way to us. We are going to visit the gallery
We are so lucky that Pun came with his car so it was so convenient for us to get there. We arrive there in only 10 minute. It’s not too far from our Silpakorn university. The gallery is located on Khao Sarn Road.It is on the second floor of 44 plaza.
The stair was covered with the red carpet and that was the first impressive for us.Actually the gallery was close and wouldn’t open until 6 in the evening but we were so lucky again that the manager of the gallery was so kind to open the gallery for us to see.

Jazz gallery is the art and music club.It used to be the gallery named ‘44 gallery’ but it was renovated and change to be a music club. The atmostphere was so chill. As you step in to the club, you will see the stage on the right in front of you.Beside the stage was a very beautiful photograph of Saxophone. Also the piano on the left of the entrance was lovely.
We got into the exhibition area, it was a photography exhibition called “Impromtu” by Piyatat Hemmatat on going now.The pictures on the wall showed the moment of live music which were taken in this club in black and white. The display was set in a very simple style. It gave the feeling like you were watching the art works at your house. As you can see in the picture
We think this was a really good club by its atmosphere and its style, Jazz, but we think the gallery area is a little bit not attractive enough so we would give the third stars rate for this gallery.
rating : ***
So if you are interested in art and enjoying the night relaxing with live jazz music, you must come to this art and music club once in your life!

VIMANMEK MANSION (GROUP THAIS AND KOREANS) November 9, 2009
Posted by student53 in Uncategorized.1 comment so far
Vimanmek mansion
The weather was so hot that day.We met at our university at 10 am.We had to wear polite clothes. We took a taxi to get Dusit palace. It’s on Rajavithi Road.We must pay for 20 bahts each persons that is a student prices for entrance(70 bahts for nolmally people and 100 bahts for foreigner.)Then,We walked into Vimanmek mansion.
Kina and Ju had to borrow long skirts;ผ้าถุง.Because of Their leggings. We started to get inside ande followed the guide. She lead us to everyroom of Vimanmek mansion. There were a lot of colour parts.Such as Ivory part there are collection of animals skull, horn, ivory and trophy.
Peach part In third floor was King Rama V’s apartment. It has four different rooms, dinning room, bathroom, bedroom and dressing room. The guide told us that this room is European style but in traditional Thai style they have everythings in one room.

As we pass the door we saw many ceramics, crystal jeweries toys from auther countries such as Germany, Italy, England, France, Czech republic, China, Slovakia, and so on.At first we were impressed by decorative and elaberate style of the exterior and interior. We found it very interesting that the palace was full of mixture of Western and Thai traditional style. And we also felt strenge when we walk through the hallway because it made us to think about the royal people who walked along the same way with us more than one hundred years ago.It made us feel like we became a royal family.

In addition, we were able to get very interesting informationfrom our guide. She told us King Chulalongkorn liked to play Saxophone, cooking and pink colour while he did not like to hunt. Those information made us feel more friendly to the king.Although it was really hot.We rated here for 4 1/2 stars because of some officer was so fierce.it was really precious timr to us because we learned more about Thai tradition culture.
